ENT ( oto-laryngo-logist ) ENT is a medical specialist who is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the head and neck, including particularly the ears , nose , and throat . ENT doctors are also called oto-laryngo-logists (also called ENTs) . The study of this branch of medicine is called Oto-laryngo-logy .It is also known as Oto-rhino-laryngo-logy. Etymology : (combination of LATIN words) Oto - ear Rhino - nose Laryngo -throat Logy -study Hence, Otology is the study of the ear and its diseases. Rhinology is the study of the nose and its diseases. Laryngology is the study of the throat and its diseases.
